McHenry Kiwanis Club
100% of the net proceeds from the soapbox derby will be used to support Kiwanis projects, with a special emphasis on the youth of McHenry and McHenry County. No money will be used for administrative expenses or our local club.
KIWANIS MEMBERS
Most of the volunteers putting on the derby are Kiwanis members and their spouses, friends or family. their job is to be sure that you have a good time. Feel free to approach any of them with a question or a need.
Kiwanisis a worldwide organization of men and women, with over 350,000 members. local clubs are made up of individuals desiring to improve their community through service, with an emphasis on projects benefiting young children.
The McHenery noon Kiwanis club is over 50 years old and has about 60 members. We are always looking for more members who would like to have fun whil ehelping others. our club meets each Wednesday at noon, at the McHenry Country Club. Guests are always welcome! while attendane at meetings is encourgaged, it is not mandatory. Some members who cannot make luncheon meetings are active members, volunteering in our other service projects.
Our club is particularly proud of our members; Brian Cunat, is a recent past president of Kiwanis International! Brian has led all Kiwanis clubs in serving the children of the world -- "Serving Children around the World" is the motto of the Kiwanis.

Whether competing or a spectator, we can't thank you enough for being part of our soap box derby. A lot of effort has gone into planning and preparing for this event. We hope you have fun. The kids say thanks too!
